Papers, 1970-1980

The Stanley H. Karesh Papers, 1944 to 2001, consist of 1 cubic foot of personal and professional correspondence, citations, publications, lecture notes, military orders and documents, and photographs related to Dr. Karesh's dental career. The bulk of the material dates from 1970 to 1980. Among the topics covered by Dr. Karesh in his publications are the use of porcelain facings; lighting in the dental office; and his philosophy on professional service and treatment. Included are papers relating to the Hayden-Harris Memorial Lecture at Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. Much of the material contained within this collection consists of correspondence from other dentists regarding procedures or professional development organizations. There are a number of personal letters to Dr. Karesh from grateful patients. This collection was originally housed in magnetic photo albums. Some items could not be removed and so were photocopied and filed with the appropriate topic. The albums contain the original and constitute the contents of box 2.
